2006 Euro Finals winner. In 2007, first European to top 230mph. In 2008, brand new motor chewed itself up on Easter’s frozen wastes (MSA Rnd.1) and left Cockerill considering his future. Motor repaired just in time for the Main Event (MSA Rnd.2), sparking a fine 6.323/224.48 shot to qualify 5th, the highest British finish, before rain intervened. Did not attend the Summer Nationals (MSA Rnd.3). Qualified 5th (6.594/219.99) at European Finals (MSA Rnd.4) but torched block and heads in eliminations before rain stopped play. Did not attend National Finals (MSA Rnd.5). Car reported sold at season’s end to Finland’s Kristian Nyström.
