2008 MSA British Drag Racing Champion.
Runner-up to Andy Robinson in 2007 MSA points and again at 2008’s Easter Thunderball opener (MSA Rnd.1). Debuted a new Brad Anderson methanol motor (521ci/8.5ltr) and Darren Mayer fuel system in promising style at May’s Main Event (MSA Rnd.2), qualifying 14th (6.605/212.00). Then achieved first victory of new millennium at June’s Summer Nationals (MSA Rnd.3), setting new personal-best ET (6.552), to lead MSA points for the first time. Qualified 10th (7.139/176.39) in single-session ‘lottery’ at rain-wrecked European Finals (MSA Rnd.4), then 3rd (6.851/211.91) at National Finals (MSA Rnd.5) to clinch the championship. 2008 was the BA Racing team’s fourth season with Lucas Oil backing.
